South east road racing was founded in the late 60's or early 70's, by Bill Best of the Sydenham Wheelers. The idea was to try and continue a regular local racing calendar to replace the then dwindling open racing events acrsss the southern division.
By the mid 70's the organisation team had changed, Colin Coe, Dave Creasy, and Pete Harris remodelled the league to the Kent Cycle road racing league.
In 2005 Kim and Preston Anderson took over the running of the now South East Road Race League.
The League continues to be as successful today as it always been. The Anderson family not only continued the success of the league but have managed to bring it into the modern era by introducing transponder timing facilities. |
